The Visual timer was designed to help children learn about time management. It features simple to use operation and fun graphics to make time management enjoyable and interactive. The timer has 14 visual magnetic tiles making it useful for a wide range of tasks.

 

To operate the timer, the desired task tile is taken from the top and placed on the slider where it magnetically sticks. Then the corresponding tile is affixed to the body of the timer at the end spot. For example, if a child needs to get ready for the bus, the 'bus tile' is placed on the slider and a 'boy/girl tile' is placed at the 0 spot. The parent slides the bus to the amount of time the child has left until the bus will arrive. The bus then slowly crawls back to the child. This helps the child remember the task on hand and see the object getting closer.
